Tennessee Tech University welcomes flutists of all levels to Flute Day 2026 on Saturday, February 7th, hosted in the Bryan Fine Arts Building. This year’s guest artist is Jessica Petrasek, Lecturer in Flute at Georgia State University and a highly sought-after orchestral and chamber musician. She has performed with major ensembles including the Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Detroit Symphony Orchestras, and toured internationally with the Kansas City Symphony at the Elbphilharmonie, Concertgebouw, and Berliner Philharmonie.

Jessica currently holds tenured positions with both the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Georgia, and previously served in principal and piccolo roles with numerous orchestras nationwide. She also performs across the country as part of the Petrasek Duo with her husband, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Principal Percussionist Joe Petrasek.

The registration fee for Flute Day is $20, paid in person upon arrival, and includes all events and lunch. Once you complete the registration form, you will receive a PayPal or Venmo invoice from the Tennessee Tech Flute Organization.
