The mission of the Tennessee Tech Multicultural Affairs Office is to provide support for the personal, cultural, social, and academic growth and development of students from underrepresented ethnic populations. We provide and encourage opportunities for all the students to learn about their history, take pride in their heritage, and explore their potential. We promote Multicultural awareness by providing an environment that embraces diversity.
The vision of the Multicultural Affairs Office is a campus where all students are able to perform, both in perception and reality, at their highest potential because of an atmosphere that invites and appreciates diversity of ethnicity.
The Multicultural Affairs Office is housed in the Leona Lusk Officer Black Cultural Center (BCC) on the second floor of the Roaden University Center (RUC 258). The office provides
programs designed to encourage cultural awareness as well as educational opportunities
outside the classroom.
We offer academic counseling, scholarship information, the Multicultural Affairs Ambassador program, the R.A.C.E. Mentoring Program and internships to improve academic performance and professional development of our students.
