TN Tech Alert
Mobile Phone Text Messaging System
TN Tech Alert is the text messaging notification system designed to notify students, faculty and staff about emergencies related to the university. The service is provided by Regroup, one of the leading emergency notification companies providing service to campuses nationwide. Sign up today for text and e-mail alerts about campus emergencies, inclement weather notices, crime alerts and other critical information - sent straight to your mobile via our new text messaging service.
Current students who have given the university their cell phone numbers are automatically signed up to receive alerts. Faculty, staff, parents, spouses and others interested in receiving alerts can sign up as well.
You will be directed to Regroup to sign up for campus and county alerts.
Existing Users: Instead of creating a new account, sign in using your email and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can use the “Forgot Password” tool.
New Users: Click the “First Time Users Create Password ” link and follow the on-screen prompts to complete your profile. At the conclusion of the sign up process, click the appropriate checkboxes beside the TN Tech Alerts list to receive campus alerts.

Adding Additional Numbers
New students will have their TN Tech Alert username and password sent to their campus email account after registration has ended for their first term on campus. Once students receive the account creation email, they should promptly login and change their temporary password. They can then also change any of their information, including an additional family member to their TN Tech Alert account.
Instructions on how to add another mobile phone to your TN Tech Alert account:
- Sign into your account; if you’ve forgotten your password, use the “Forgot Password” tool.
- Click “Add” to add additional phone numbers or emergency contacts to your account. You can also edit or remove existing information by clicking “Edit” or “Remove.”

The TN Tech Alert system is one of several emergency notification systems designed to communicate critical information to campus constituents. Tennessee Tech University cannot warrant the successful delivery of each TN Tech Alert message to each individual recipient as service depends on the individual e-mail systems, cellular and mobile phone carriers to deliver text and e-mail messages to each recipient, which are outside the control of Tennessee Tech University.
