What Does It Mean To Be A Pre-Professional Health Student?

The Pre-Professional Health Sciences Program involves completing the undergraduate pre-requisite course work required to enter a professional school (medical school, dental school, etc.). These courses generally include chemistry, biology, physics, math, English, and social and behavioral sciences like psychology and sociology. Because the majority of professional schools require a bachelor’s degree, most Tennessee Tech pre-professional students begin the pre-med or pre-pharmacy, etc. curriculum and later declare a major to complete a Bachelor's degree. Health professional graduate schools accept any major, so students are encouraged to explore a major according to his/her interests and strengths.
