Hear from former contestants on all things Eagle Works!

Chelsay Burns and Aaron Lawson

The Ratchet Rats team won the 2021 Eagle Works and had a great experience leading up to competing. This interdisciplinary team was made up of Chelsay, an ag education major, and Aaron, a mechanical engineering major. They attended all the workshops and practices leading up to the competition and the judges could see their preparation was next level. They did a fantastic job and we can't wait to see what's next!

Blake Daniels

Blake won the 2019 Eagle Works competition with his company, Miscellaneous Men. He had started his business prior to competing, and was able to harness the resources and funding from his win directly back into the business. His team has grown exponentially since then, and we expect to see more great things in the future!

Ashlin (Wildun) Smith

Ashlin competed in Eagle Works multiple times with different ideas ranging from social entrepreneurship to a better way to network. She took advantage of plenty of the resources available to students, and used that experience when she entered the job market. She left Tech with her undergrad and MBA, and now works for LaunchTN, Tennessee's entrepreneurial hub. She's helped us with everything from internship connections to Eagle Works judging and we love seeing her succeed!

Chris Sipe

Chris competed in Eagle Works multiple times, winning in 2016 as part of the Gigamunch team. After the competition the team went on to launch a company, which they sold a few years later. Chris has been a great support for Eagle Works since leaving Tech, including coming back as a guest speaker and the emcee multiple times!
