The Middle School Science, grades 6-8 concentration prepares students to enter the teaching profession and other related careers. The middle school education curriculum is designed to provide the necessary foundation of teaching skills, coupled with the broad knowledge of the sciences, as well as content in reading, writing, math, and history. Students in licensure programs also engage in extensive clinical experiences in public schools for hands-on training, professional collaboration, and classroom management. The degree allows our graduates to excel in leadership, teaching, and service roles in public schools and other educational agencies. Nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
