Overview: What is Influxer?

Influxer is a non-exclusive, NIL merchandise platform that provides Tennessee Tech student-athletes with an accessible way to monetize their Name, Image and Likeness through licensed, on-demand merchandise. The platform is free for both the university and student-athletes and is designed to support broad participation across all sports, not just high-profile earners.

Influxer is currently used by 570+ universities and 50,000+ student-athletes, with more than $3 million in athlete royalties earned nationwide.

Why This Matters

• NIL for all athletes: 75% of student-athletes nationally receive no traditional NIL offers. Influxer creates an entry-level opportunity for every athlete.
• No exclusivity: Athletes may still pursue other NIL opportunities.
• Simple, predictable earnings: Flat-rate royalties per product — no guessing or negotiating.

How Student-Athletes Earn

Athletes receive flat-rate royalties for each item sold, depending on the product (e.g., jerseys, hoodies, shirts, hats, accessories). This transparency makes it easy for athletes — and coaches — to understand expectations and outcomes.

International Student-Athletes

There is a common misconception that international student-athletes cannot participate in NIL. This is not true — participation is allowed within specific guidelines designed to protect visa status.

Key Guardrails for International Student-Athletes (F-1 Visa):

• International student-athletes can participate in limited NIL opportunities through Influxer.
• They may not promote their own NIL merchandise on social media while physically in the United States. This includes posting, liking, commenting, sharing or adding to stories.
• Promotion is allowed while outside the U.S., provided posts are time-, date- and location-stamped.
• Friends, family and teammates may promote the athlete’s merchandise at any time.
• Influxer will not use the athlete’s photo in NIL promotions, further protecting visa status.
