Ohio Valley History Conference
The Ohio Valley History Conference (OVHC) is a regional academic conference promoting scholarship and research across all historical disciplines with a special focus on Kentucky and Tennessee. Since its beginning in 1985, the conference has been hosted annually. Currently, it rotates among six host institutions: Western Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University, Murray State University, Austin Peay State University, East Tennessee State University, and Tennessee Tech University.
The Tennessee Tech History Department will host this conference October 22-24, 2026.
This year's theme is New Narratives in History.

About the Conference
Conference sessions will be held in Henderson Hall (5 William L. Jones Dr., Cookeville, TN 38505). The Friday night banquet will be held in the Ashraf Islam Engineering Building (1021 Stadium Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501).

A designated parking area has been assigned for conference attendees highlighted in red (far left of the map). The address of the lot is: 350 University Drive, Cookeville, TN 38505
A dedicated OVHC shuttle will pick up attendees and deliver them to Henderson Hall, the site of the conference sessions. (The shuttle actually belongs to the UCHRA, so you may see those initials on the van.) This shuttle is different from the Tech shuttle.
There is a shuttle station (108) in the parking area, highlighted on the map by a small red square. The shuttle will run from Station 108 to Henderson Hall and back, continuously from 7:30am until 4:30pm.
After 3:30pm, attendees are welcome to move their cars to the lot behind Henderson Hall. On Saturday, October 24th, attendees may park in the lot behind Henderson Hall.
