Bio
Cheryl has been a member of the College of Business leadership team for over a decade.  She brought to the college her experiences from both the corporate and government sectors.   As an economic development and client relationship manager working for the division of corporate real estate at Sprint, she was a telecommuting pioneer before the advent of high-speed internet.  While at Sprint, she managed a project team that identified enterprise wide opportunities to implement telecommuting ultimately saving the corporation $50 M in annual real estate costs.

Her federal government experience includes time as a staff member in the legislative branch working for Congressman Jim Cooper in the United States House of Representatives and for former Senator Al Gore in the United States Senate.  She served as a political appointee at the United States Department of Justice in the Clinton Administration where she was Director of Scheduling and Briefing for Attorney General Janet Reno.  As the director of Program Development and Engagement for the College of Business, she oversees the College of Business Advisory Board; the planning and execution of the College of Business Women’s Leadership Conference, the Albrecht Distinguished Lecture Series, and the Annual Fall Celebration; in addition to developing social media, marketing, and fundraising strategies.  A graduate of Rhodes College, she holds a bachelor’s degree in history.

When not planning events for students, alumni, and friends of the College of Business you can find her courtside cheering for her sons at a tennis match or at Nissan stadium cheering for the Tennessee Titans.
