College Town Weekends

College Town Weekends is a promotion that combines both on-campus and off-campus events into one list so students can easily find weekend activities of interest. Students are encouraged to take advantage of all that Tech and the surrounding community have to offer. After all, Cookeville is Tennessee’s college town!

Did you know?

  • The Caf is open until 10pm on Sundays. See Dining Hours.
  • The Burnett Fitness Center, Pool, and Climbing Wall are open on weekends. See Burnett Fitness Center Hours. Check out the Mystery Workout Wheel on Saturdays to mix up your routine and try something new.
  • The weekend is a great time to catch up on coursework or get a head-start on the week’s assignments. The Angelo & Jennette Volpe Library is open on Saturday and Sunday. See Volpe Library hours.

Holiday Craft and Card Workshop

Cane Creek Recreation Center; $22; In this class you will get to make "A Bag, A Tag, A Box and 2 Greeting Cards!" The box is one that we will repurpose and cover with 2 different printed Christmas papers. The bag matches, using some of the same paper. The tag is a fun, medium-sized tag to make. You can also use this as a card front, if you prefer. The 2 Greeting Cards will be fun to make, using the embossing folder on one of them. All of the items were designed and created for this class! Bryan Symphony Orchestra Concert
