What is a Student Orientation Assistant (SOA)?
Student Orientation Assistants, or SOAs, are a group of students that have a sincere interest in helping new students successfully achieve personal, social, and academic adjustment to the University. To achieve this goal, SOAs assist new students in their connection to the campus community by sharing Tech traditions, introducing new students to other new students & upperclassmen, and answer questions about college life. This role allows new students to grow into successful Golden Eagles and foster a sense of belongingness at Tech.
