Enjoy an evening with your friends from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM as you watch a movie outdoors on the big screen while enjoying concessions, such as popcorn and Italian ice! Grab your blankets and friends to make it a fun, unforgettable evening! This year's movie is The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Get your friends together and come out for an afternoon of FREE bowling at Bowling World (located at 545 Neal St. in Cookeville). Games begin at 7 PM and go until 10 PM, and each student will be permitted to bowl 1 game for free! *Must have Eagle Card to be admitted!

Make sure to explore all of the Roaden University Center to find activities hosted by the Student Orientation Assistants, the Residence Hall Association, Fraternity & Sorority Life, the eSports Club, the SOLO Events Committee, and others.

Classes start on Thursday, so don’t be lost and confused on your first day! Come take a tour from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM of your fall classes with the SOAs. The SOAs will help you find the buildings and classrooms you need so you can be successful and start the semester off right!

Calling all residents of Pinkerton Quad! Come outside from 8 PM to 10:00 PM and eat some pizza, listen to music, play some games, and meet new friends! Popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and other treats will also be available. Free Block Party t-shirts will be given out to the first 400 students in attendance!

All first-year freshman students will meet with their Launchpad Student Success Center advisor and the rest of their incoming freshman classmates from 9 AM to 11 AM to begin building connections while participating in an engaging experience on how to be successful during your first-year of college. Note: Your Launchpad advisor will contact you before Week of Welcome to share specific details and location information.

The Class of 2028 will meet with their academic department/college for a pre-party from 1 PM to 2:30 PM before heading to University Convocation. Freshmen, check your Tech email before the event for more information! Note: Not all departments/colleges may host events

University Convocation is the formal induction of the Class of 2028 into the Tennessee Tech academic community. This event is for freshmen and their families only. For more information about this event, visit tntech.edu/convocation. Note: Freshman students should arrive at 2:30pm and must wear the purple 2024 freshman t-shirt received at SOAR.

Your class photo will be available for you to download as a keepsake to share with your family and friends. Note: Freshman students must wear the purple freshman t-shirt received at SOAR.

Between 10 AM and 12 PM, come commemorate your first day of classes this fall semester! Students who take a first day photo will have their photo mailed home (to the address requested) on a Tennessee Tech postcard with a personalized message of choice! Limited quantities available.
