Step 1: Set Up Your TechExpress Account

TechExpress is a powerful resource you'll use often! You'll find all your most-used Tennessee Tech resources, including your Tech email, WiFi password, T-Number, University news and events, the campus directory, and so much more. TechExpress also automatically logs you into all campus websites. You won't need to remember multiple usernames and passwords for different sites; as long as you're logged into TechExpress, you're good to go!

Step 2: Access Eagle Online and Email Through TechExpress

Eagle Online: This is the student portal you will use to access class schedules, financial aid, and other student information throughout your college career.

Tech Email: Every new student at Tech is given a Tech email account. Your email will be the primary communication method for Financial Aid, Scholarships, and more, so keep your eyes peeled for exciting updates.

Step 3: Apply for Scholarships!

Tennessee Tech has a single scholarship application that automatically puts you in the running for over 675 scholarships many of which are renewable for up to four years. Be sure to apply as early as possible!

To complete the University's scholarship application, new students must be admitted to Tennessee Tech. Tennessee Tech's scholarship application must be completed each year.

The scholarship deadlines are listed below:

New Freshmen - December 15 for the next Fall semester
Transfer Students - December 15 for the next Spring semester and May 1 for the next Fall semester

Applying for scholarships is done through your Tech Express portal. Once logged into Tech Express, select the ‘ScholrWeb’ quicklink icon to access ScholarWeb and begin your scholarship application!

Step 4: Submit Your FAFSA

In order to be eligible for financial aid, you must have a FAFSA on file. This is something you must do every year as a college student, but it is particularly important to ensure you get as much aid as you can in your freshman year. To automatically send us your FAFSA information, add Tennessee Tech to your FAFSA application using our official code: 003523.

Complete the FAFSA

If you have questions about your financial aid, email

Step 5: Accept Your Scholarships

Being awarded a scholarship does not mean you automatically receive it; you must either accept or decline the award before the deadline, given on the award letter or email, in order to secure it. Make sure you check your Tech email often for notices of awards. You can check your award status and accept scholarships by going to TechExpress and selecting the "ScholrWeb" quicklink.
