Friday Cafe

Friday Cafe is the hands-on learning experience for foods and nutrition students in Human Ecology. The Friday Cafe is a student-led restaurant located in Oakley Hall, room 005. Open only on Fridays for lunch, the cafe provides a real-world learning experience for students enrolled in HEC 3240 Quantity Food Production. Students experience every aspect of meal management including menu planning, food production, purchasing, service, food sanitation and safety, and marketing.

The Friday Café Fall 2021 menu is now available. Friday Café will serve six meals for Fall 2021. There will be six meals. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, meals will be a carryout option only. If COVID restrictions change and we are able to move meals to the dining room, an update will be provided.

Fall 2021 Friday Café Information

The single meal cost this semester will be $8.50. A portion of the increase will be used to provide free Friday Café meals to students who utilize the Food Pantry this semester. Your reservation must be confirmed by making prepayment by noon on Wednesday.  Payment can be made through Tennessee Tech Marketplace. We are unable to process refunds at this time. If you have questions, you may call 931-372-3157. We plan to have the same system as last semester, with 3 pick-up options each week, with a limit of 12 meals each (11:45, 12:00, and 12:15). Meals will be available for pick up on the front porch of Oakley Hall. If we can move to the dining room safely in October, we will send an update.
