Bachelor of Science, Artificial Intelligence

Students looking at a computer screenThe B.S. in Artificial Intelligence is a new degree program at Tennessee Tech beginning for the Fall 2026 academic year. It expands on the concentration in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in the B.S. in Computer Science to create a full, standalone baccalaureate degree focusing on the theories, systems and development behind AI.

Students majoring in Artificial Intelligence won’t just apply it – they will build it and understand the inner workings of computer systems that can learn, reason and make decisions. The curriculum spans machine learning, neural networks, data science, natural language processing and ethical considerations of intelligent technologies. Through a blend of strong theoretical foundations and hands-on projects, students graduate ready to create advanced AI systems that drive innovation, from self-driving cars and smart assistants to data-driven solutions across industries.

How to Enroll: For Prospective and Current Students
