Engineering Village

Maddux McCord Engineering Village Residence Hall photoThe Engineering Village is located in Maddux/McCord Halls and has 150 College of Engineering students. Lenly Weathers, Ph.D., of the Civil and Environmental Engineering department, is the faculty head of the Village. He has an office in the dorm where students may come see him for advice.

The Village has its own computer lab, special study areas, and tutoring available to help students succeed in their studies. In addition, it has social opportunities, such as pancake meals, ice-cream socials, pizza gatherings, and other activities to enrich the students’ social experience. The Village also has a Council, which offers opportunities for students to participate in governance of the Village while also learning leadership skills.

The Village is very popular among students, and demand for membership is high. Prospective students interested in this special opportunity to get a more personal connection to Tennessee Tech and the college experience are encouraged to contact the Office of University Housing and Residential Life by phone at 931-372-3414, or by email at reslife@tntech.edu.
