If you do not meet these requirements, it is still possible to be admitted to Tennessee Tech. You are important as an individual and your grades or test scores might not tell your whole story. The Holistic Review Committee, comprised of administrators, faculty members and staff from across the university, meets regularly to evaluate applications on a student-by-student basis. After you submit all necessary items for your application, you will be notified if you qualify for an individual, holistic review.

You will be asked to submit a brief letter of explanation describing the background behind your previous academic history like GPA and test scores. Also, please include a plan of action outlining how you will overcome previous challenges to be successful as a Tech student. Email your holistic review letter to transcripts@tntech.edu. The holistic review process will begin once all of your application items have been received and when we have received your letter of explanation. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have any questions about the holistic review process - admissions@tntech.edu, (931) 372-3635.
