A freshman is a student who will be graduating soon from high school, or has recently graduated, but has not attended college after their high school graduation.
A transfer is a student who has completed college credit after graduating from high school. Transfers who have completed less than 24 transferable hours are also evaluated by freshman admission requirements.
Any student who has completed coursework at Tennessee Tech in the past and wishes to return is considered a readmission student.
If you want to take a class for personal enrichment, take a pre-requisite for a graduate program, pursue an add-on endorsement for a teaching license, or earn a craft certificate, you are a non-traditional student.
