Appalachian Center for Craft

Fall and Spring Workshops

Virtual and In-person Listings

The Appalachian Center for Craft is now offering hands-on workshops through ZOOM as well as in-person on our campus in Smithville, Tennessee!

In-person, on-campus workshop fees include all materials and lunch. Most of these workshops are intended for true beginners and will introduce basic concepts and techniques while allowing participants to create a piece or pieces. Note: Everyone is required to wear a mask while on campus.

Zoom workshops allow participants to meet with instructors during live Zoom sessions. Sessions will include demonstrations, tips, techniques and advice on specific topics and projects. Each session includes live instruction time as well as time off camera to practice. Zoom workshops give participants the option of purchasing material/tool kits to be shipped to their home or purchasing their own with lists provided by us. In all cases, participants in Zoom workshops need Zoom downloaded on their computers (the latest version, links provided below), a sturdy table and a quiet place to work. Be sure to look for details listed with each workshop.

Refunds are not available for virtual workshop or one-day workshops. For multi-day workshops, refunds are only available if requested more than 30 days prior to the first day of the workshop. If we have to cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund.

Feel free to reach out if you have questions or requests for workshops. Email the Craft Center at craftcenter@tntech.edu
