Planning
Planning your travels can be one of the most important parts of your trip. You need to be sure to get everything booked and planned in advance so that you can relax once you get abroad. Below are some good websites that may help you in planning your travels. Remember that Tennessee Tech University offers up to $1,000 in travel reimbursement for your flight to the host country and back. Click HERE for more info on the airfare reimbursement criteria.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND ASSISTANCE
It is extremely important that you get the proper documents before you depart on your
study abroad program. You must get a passport no matter where you are going. It can
take anywhere from 4 to 5 weeks to get a passport so you need to plan accordingly.
Not everyone is required to get a visa, but if you are going to be in a country for
more than 90 days you must have a visa. The visa process is a much longer process
so you need to give yourselves a few months to get the visa. See the links below to
learn how to get your passport and visa. Also, it is beneficial to educate yourself
on where the U.S. Embassy is nearest to where you will be staying in the host country,
