Online Training Academies
The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) and the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFÉ) have created online training courses for faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate assistants, and fellow educators. You can view the courses and register below.
Canvas Training
The CITL has created asynchronous trainings for faculty and students to help them become familiar with Canvas. These trainings are designed to provide a general overview and introduction to Canvas. For additional support, faculty and students can visit the Canvas section of our website.
Faculty Training
Faculty training in Canvas is designed to help faculty learn about the tools and features available in Canvas. Full-time faculty are enrolled automatically upon hire. This training is required for all new faculty and is included in the New Faculty Orientation. If you are a current full-time faculty and you do not see the Faculty Training within your Canvas Dashboard, please contact citl@tntech.edu.
Student Training
Student training in Canvas is designed to help students learn about the tools and features available in Canvas, as well as how to submit assignments, discussions, and more within their courses. Students can self-enroll using the link below. This training is optional. Students who complete all the requirements and pass the quizzes for each module will receive a certificate of completion.
Teaching/Graduate Assistant Training
Teaching/Graduate Assistant Training is for students who will be acting as a TA or GTA within a course. This training is designed to help prepare students in these roles by providing resources and training on how to use Canvas as an instructor. Training requirements are assigned based on role. All TAs and GTAs must complete their assigned modules before being added to the course in which they will be a TA/GTA. Faculty can request a TA/GTA be added to their course using this form.

The AI Academy is a course designed for anyone looking to explore and build a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence.
