Media Recording File Locations

If you used Kaltura Capture or Zoom to create your videos, you can get the video file (MP4) that was saved on your local computer and upload it to the location you desire. For example: My Media (Kaltura), media.tntech.edu, Youtube, Vimeo, Google Docs, etc.

Kaltura Videos

On Windows

  • View your computer files (press Windows Key + E) and then go to the C: drive.
  • Choose Users - [your username] - AppData - Local - Kaltura.
    • If you used Kaltura Capture to create the files, select Capture - Media - the folder for the video - then the folder inside with the same code - select the MP4 file.
    • If you used CaptureSpace to create the files, select Kaltura- Recordings and select the MP4 from the list.
      REMEMBER: CaptureSpace is no longer supported for recording and uploading, but you should be able to access the old video files.

If you don't see the AppData folder, select the View menu and check the box next to View Hidden Items.

On Mac

  • Go to the Go menu - choose Go to Folder
  • Type in ~/Library/Preferences/Kaltura/Capture/Recordings, then select Go.
  • Select the Recordings folder
  • Choose the appropriate MP4 file

Zoom Videos

The information below is for the default location. If you changed this location upon install, you will find the videos in that location.

On Windows

  • View your computer files (press Windows Key + E) and then go to the C: drive.
  • Choose Documents - Zoom
  • Select the folder with the appropriate date stamp
  • Select the MP4 file. The default name will be zoom_0.mp4
    • If you recorded more than one meeting on the same date, each subsequent meeting will be numbered accordingly. (Ex: zoom_1.mp4, zoom_2.mp4)

If you do not see the extensions, you can enable that by going to View then check File extension names.

On Mac

  • Go to the Go menu - choose Go to Folder
  • Select Documents - Zoom
  • Select the folder with the appropriate date stamp
  • Select the MP4 file. The default name will be zoom_0.mp4
    • If you recorded more than one meeting on the same date, each subsequent meeting will be numbered accordingly. (Ex: zoom_1.mp4, zoom_2.mp4)
