Craft Workshops


General Information
The Appalachian Center for Craft offers workshops throughout the year. Weekend and evening workshops are available during the spring and fall; weekend and week-long workshops are offered throughout the summer. Anyone 18 years of age and older may enroll in a workshop and pre-registration is required for all workshops. Nationally known artists lead the workshops in our professionally-equipped studios on our campus in Smithville, Tennessee. Fall and Spring Workshops are designed to give complete beginners, advanced beginners, or those who want to brush up their skills access to hands-on experiences in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood.

Summer Workshops are offered as three-day weekends or six-day weeks throughout the summer. Workshops are offered in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood. We have offerings for all skill levels from novice to professional. Nationally known artists lead these workshops in our professionally-equipped studios on our campus in Smithville, Tennessee.
