Welcome to WORKSHOPS at the Appalachian Center for Craft!

General Information:

The Craft Center offers over 50 hands-on craft workshops throughout the year. One-day workshops are offered during the fall and spring semesters. Weekend, half-week, and week-long workshops are offered during the summer. Classes are available or all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Work in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood and more in our professionally equipped studios. Workshops are open to anyone 18 years of age or older.   • One-day Workshops:
    • Check-in: Saturday, 8:30 am - 8:45 am
    • Workshop Hours:
      • Studio Time: Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
      • Lunch: Saturday, 12 - 1 p.m.
      • Studio Time: Saturday, 1 - 4 p.m.
    • All materials are included; equipment needed for the day is provided
    • Lunch is included!
    • Housing is not available

STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Summer Workshop Internships:

Summer Workshop Interns will have the opportunity to receive free housing and participation in workshops of their choice in exchange for assisting workshop instructors, helping to facilitate participant activities such as evening hikes, and working with housing staff to clean between workshop sessions. The program will accept one student in each of the following areas: clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood. Applications due by April 1, 2015. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by April 15, 2015. Click here for application details.
