STEM 4 All Initiative

The mission of the STEM 4 All Initiative is to provide meaningful, quality STEM experiences for a variety of learners and to prepare pre-service teachers to design and facilitate those STEM learning opportunities. 

The inaugural STEM 4 All event will take place on September 28, 2019. The event will feature hands on STEM activities, one for children & adults with special needs from 9:00-11:00 A.M. 

Here is some additional information about the free event this Saturday, Sept. 28. The STEM 4 ALL initiative grew from a team of Tennessee Tech educators’ desire to ensure all Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) events at Tennessee Tech University were appropriate for all learners. This Saturday’s event from 9:00 to 11:00 is just for individuals (all ages) with identified disabilities, their families (including siblings), and agency personnel. We have worked to minimize barriers (physical, cognitive, and sensory) that might have otherwise made these activities difficult to complete. We will have plenty of volunteers, visuals, and assistance for hands-on learning. We would love for you to attend and help make this inaugural STEM 4 ALL event a success.
