Admission to Residency II
Candidates should begin working on the steps for Admission into Residency II prior to the second semester of your senior year to remain on track for Residency II during the Spring semester.
Candidates who do not meet the requirements and/or have their programs delayed should contact Placement Coordinator, Susan Collins at sncollins@tntech.edu for “out-of-sync” options to continue the program.
Candidates must meet the following three (3) requirements prior to beginning the steps to enter into Residency II:
1. An inclusive GPA of 2.75 (excluding developmental classes).
2. Satisfactory completion of ALL coursework.
3. A minimum grade of "B" or higher must be earned in Residency I.

Undergraduate Benchmarks Music Education (MUED) Candidates
Step 1 / Submit Undergraduate Application for Graduation

Step 2 / Complete & Submit Your Intent to Participate in Residency II by Nov. 10th
Step 3 / Complete & Submit the Disposition Self-Assessment by Oct. 31st.
You must list your 4872 instructor as the “rater”.
Step 4 / Submit Official Praxis Scores by Dec. 10th
Have official scores submitted for any remaining Praxis II exams to OTE by December 10th.
NOTE: As candidates complete Residency II and near the end of their senior year, the following requirements must be met prior to graduation and receiving a Tennessee teaching license.
