Elementary Education

Elementary education (K-5) prepares emerging teachers and administrators for the modern classroom and a range of careers in education. The elementary education curriculum is designed to provided graduates with the needed foundation of teaching skills based on the latest in instructional theory, coupled with the broad knowledge needed to teach at the elementary level. The College of Education offers a wealth of on-campus educational resources, from the VISION Virtual Learning Lab and the Jeffers Learning Resources Center, to the Millard Oakley STEM Center. 

Tennessee Tech also offers a 2+2 program in Elementary Education, K-5 Licensure, in partnership with our regional community college partners and nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Our 2+2 program allows you to complete your credit hours at your local community college with courses conducted by Tech faculty.
