The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR professional society devoted to HR management, whose primary objectives include providing information to its members and advancing the HR profession in more than 165 countries. Involvement in SHRM is a great opportunity to learn from local Human Resource Management professionals through their available internships, scholarships, and even online job listings.
Our COB Leadership Retreat allows students to develop and foster leadership skills alongside their peers in a fun, new learning environment! Students always sincerely enjoy this unconventional learning experience away from campus, and they are thankful for the confidence and skills they gain. This retreat is held annually during one weekend of the spring semester. Applications for the retreat will be sent out to students during the fall semester.
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools. BGS student members continue to serve in leadership roles in corporate, entrepreneurial, government, non-profit, and academic sectors. Membership is by selection and invitation, and those eligible include students who rank in the upper 7% of the junior class, the upper 10% of the senior class, and the upper 20% of the graduate class. Inducted members are recognized at an annual induction ceremony and banquet in the spring semester.
