Mentor Program
The College of Interdisciplinary Studies offers a mentoring program for undergraduate students to connect them with Alumni who can serve as role models, mentors, and guides to ensure both academic and personal success. The College of Interdisciplinary Studies Success Center Mentor Program is structured to aid in the transition of new students to Tennessee Tech University and the College of Interdisciplinary Studies by assisting students with any questions or concerns. Mentors use their knowledge and experience about the campus, their program of study, their courses, the resources they had access to, and how they navigated the different challenges of attending college.
Responsibilities of Mentors include:
- Foster trust through conversations either by phone, email, and/or possibly meeting in person
- Expose students to campus resources to support academic success
- Influence students to seek opportunities for involvement with campus organizations or academic honor societies
- Become a Mentor
