Various different groups are available through the Counseling Center. If you do not see a group that you want, please contact the Counseling Center to inquire if that group might be made available for you.
The following is a list of coaching and support groups that are free and available to registered Tennessee Tech University Students. If you are interested in any of the mentioned groups, or would like the Counseling Center to do a group, please contact the office at 931-372-3331 or RUC 307 for more information.
Keep in mind that if there are not enough participants to form an active group, you may be put on a waiting list until such time the group becomes active.
Sexual Assault Survivors Support Group with Abby L. Eibel, MA.Ed, LPC/MHSP
- If you have had an unwanted sexual experience, have been sexually assaulted or raped, there is support for you. This group is designed to help you cope with anxiety, sadness, guilt and anger. The group will give you an opportunity to feel supported and offer help to others who also feel alone.
- This Group meets regularly on Mondays at 2pm in the Counseling Center. You do not need to preregister for the group. Please come to the office 10 minutes prior to Group time and Register with the front desk staff.
Feeling Groovy with Teresa Benson, MSW, LCSW
- Join in for a unique interactive time of varied topics related to self-care and overall student success including assertiveness, communication, relaxation, relationships and transformation! Let's SLOW down, REACH out, and face the future feelin' groovy!
- This Group meets regularly on Wednesdays at 2:30pm in the Counseling Center. You do not need to preregister for the group. Please come to the office 10 minutes prior to Group time and Register with the front desk staff.
