The Counseling Center is proud to host several different workshop series each Fall and Spring semester.
Current Groups, Workshops and Trainings
1. Digital Student Success Workshops (see below)

2. QPR Suicide Prevention Trainings in the RUC Tech Pride Room (Cancelled Spring 2021 Semester but will pick up again in future.)
3. Skill Building Workshops in the RUC Counseling Center Eagle Resource Room (These are currently in a Video Conference Format for Spring 2021 Semester)
4. Interactive Skill Building Workshops and Support Groups are available to all TN Tech students on Zoom. You can find out more information on the Eagle Wellness Portal at myhealth.tntech.edu. Contact the office at counsel@tntech.edu for additional information.

MENTAL HEALTH MONDAYS ON INSTAGRAM
Dr. Mick and Shonta invite the TN Tech Campus Community to watch and / or join in the conversation as they offer coping strategies and information for mental well-being weekly on Instagram Live @TNTechCounsel every Monday Morning at 10AM when classes are in session beginning on Jan 25, 2021.
BODY IMAGE - LEARNING TO LIKE YOUR LOOKS
Join Angela Rector, LPC/MHSP for this Body Image Workshop on retraining your brain on how it views the body. If you have questions or are interested in joining this workshop, please contact Ms. Rector at arector@tntech.edu. You may sign up for this workshop on the Eagle Wellness Portal or by sending an email to Ms. Rector or Ms. Eibel (aeibel@tntech.edu) This workshop is every other Thursday at 1:30 PM on ZOOM starting Feb 4, 2021.
Support Groups on Zoom
I NEED A MINUTE
I NEED A MINUTE is a support group that allows Black students to share their experiences and offer encouragement to each other for the purpose of support and building a sense of community. Students wanting to join must register on the Eagle Wellness Portal (myhealth.tntech.edu) and will be given a Zoom meeting ID and passcode. If you have any questions, please contact Shonta at ssrussell@tntech.edu The group is scheduled on Tuesdays at 11 am starting on Jan 26, 2021 for the SPRING 21 semester.
SEXUAL ABUSE SURVIVOR'S SUPPORT GROUP
This support group meets throughout the year when classes are in session. Feel free to sign up for this group. Keep in mind, that all students in this group must have a 30 minute Triage session with Abby prior to attendance. Please call the office to schedule the 30 minute screening/triage session. This group meets Mondays at 2pm. In keeping with CDC guidelines, this group is only available on Zoom, but will return to an on-site format in the future. If you have any questions, contact Abby at the office or by email: aeibel@tntech.edu.
COVID-19 Support Group
COVID-19 has become a household term and as shifted the way many students live their everyday lives. This COVID-19 Support Group serves as a support for students to discuss how the pandemic has affected them mentally, emotionally and/or physically. This group is open to TN Tech students only and registration on the Eagle Wellness Portal is required. To get information, including Zoom info, please contact Shonta: ssrussell@tntech.edu. Meets weekly on Tues at 2pm starting Jan. 26, 2021.

QPR {Question, Persuade, Refer} Suicide Prevention Trainings
In addition to the online digital workshops, TN Tech Counseling Center is also offering
QPR Trainings each semester. There are currently no QPR Trainings schedule for Fall
2020 semester.
QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer is an interactive Suicide Prevention Training offered by the TN Tech Counseling Center several times every semester as a part of the #HopeStrongEagles Prevention Program. It is important to recognize that anyone and everyone can do their part in the Prevention of Suicide on Campus and in the Community. Ask a Question, Save a Life .
