Licensure Programs Available to Post-Baccalaureate (Graduate) Students

Master's Plus Initial Licensure Program

Candidates seeking an initial Tennessee Teaching license in the following endorsement areas, will enroll in Tennessee Tech’s Master's Plus Licensure Program.

Computer Science (K-12)

Secondary Education Biology (Grades 6-12)

Integrated Early Childhood Education (Grades PreK-3)

Secondary Education Chemistry (Grades 6-12)

Elementary Education (Grades K-5)

Secondary Education Earth Science (Grades 6-12)

Middle School Math (Grades 6-8)

Secondary Education Economics (Grades 6-12)

Physical Education (Grades K-12)

Secondary Education English (Grades 6-12)

Library Information Specialist (Grades Prek-12)

Secondary Education Geography (Grades 6-12)

 

Secondary Education Government/Political Science (Grades 6-12)

Special Education - Interventionist K-8 (Grades K-8)

Secondary Education History (Grades 6-12)

Special Education - Interventionist 6-12 (Grades 6-12)

Secondary Education Math (Grades 6-12)

Special Education - Comprehensive (Grades K-12)

Licensure Only (no degree required)

Candidates seeking an Initial License in the following endorsement areas can receive an initial Tennessee Teaching license without pursuing a higher degree. However, candidates have the option to work with their advisor and combine their initial license coursework with a Master's or Education Specialist degree.
