Undergraduate Degree Options
The undergraduate Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. Programs of study lead to one of three degrees and concentrations listed below.
Students can select an area of emphasis in Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Structural Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Infrastructure Materials, Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, or Construction Engineering and Management. Civil Engineering students are required to take the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) administered by the Tennessee State Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners, in order to become practicing engineers.
