For New Transfer Students Starting Fall 2020
Due to delays for many students caused by COVID-19, the scholarship application deadline for new fall transfer and graduate students has been extended to June 1, 2020. See full timeline here.
Students transferring from Tennessee community colleges must complete the scholarship application to be considered. The scholarship application deadline for students transferring in Summer or Fall 2020 is June 1, 2020. All materials including college transcript and letters of recommendation must be submitted to Tech prior to June 15, 2020 for consideration.
The priority deadline to be considered for more than 600 departmental scholarships awarded at Tennessee Tech was December 15th, 2019. Transfer students who apply after this date but before June 1 will primarily receive consideration for the Transfer Admissions scholarships listed below.

All scholarships and grants are competitive and based on funding. Students who qualify may only receive one of the following Admissions Scholarships.
Tech Transfer Pride Scholarship*
A merit-based scholarship for students transferring from Tennessee community colleges with at least 24 transferable credit hours and a minimum 3.75 cumulative GPA. Awards are competitive and are not guaranteed. Award amounts will range from $500 to $2,000 per academic year. It is renewable for up to three years (six semesters) as long as the student maintains full-time undergraduate enrollment and has a 3.00 overall cumulative (Tech) GPA by the end of their second semester at Tech.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship*
A $2,000 per year scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa members transferring from Tennessee community colleges with a minimum 3.5 GPA and an A.A., A.S. or A.A.S. degree or at least 60 transferable credit hours. Must submit a letter of recommendation (through ScholarWeb) from the Phi Theta Kappa advisor at student's present college/university; must be a member in good standing with Phi Theta Kappa. This scholarship is renewable for up to three years (six semesters) as long as the student maintains full-time continuous undergraduate enrollment and has a 3.00 overall combined (Tech) GPA by the end of their second semester at Tech. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.
All-Tennessee Academic Team Scholarship*
A $4,000 per year scholarship offered to Phi Theta Kappa students chosen by their Tennessee Board of Regents Community College to be their designated selection for the All-Tennessee Academic Team. The scholarship is renewable for three years (six semesters) as long as the student maintains continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment and has a 3.00 overall combined (Tech) GPA by the end of their second semester at Tech.
*Students may only receive one of these awards. If a student is eligible for more than one award, they will be offered the greater of the two.
Tennessee Technological University reserves the right to limit scholarship/grant awards if necessary funding is not available.
