- TTU Academic Wellness Center Renovations SBC# 364/011-01-2025
Project Description:
The project includes the renovation of the existing TTU Academic Wellness Center (the previous campus Student Recreation Center). The scope of work will be primarily limited to the existing natatorium area of the facility. The existing pool will be infilled with high density polystyrene insulation and topped with a new concrete slab. Structural steel will be added internally to provide the support system for new folding partitions to provide meeting rooms within the space. Additional stud-framed walls and aluminum storefront framing & glass walls will be added to provide additional interior rooms. Finishes include new carpet tile, LVT & rubber flooring, painting and lay-in acoustic tile ceilings. HVAC will add a new gas-fired TRU unit and VAV ductwork distribution system. A new fire-protection sprinkler system will be added, connected to the main building system. Limited plumbing work to add water and waste for new equipment is included. Electrical will include new power distribution, lighting, fire alarm connected to the existing system, data and communication systems.
