Steel Bridge Team
The Steel Bridge Team at Tennessee Tech is a competition-oriented group under the American Institute of Steel Construction. Each year, the team designs, fabricates, and competes with a 20-foot-long model steel bridge. The goal of the group is to provide students with an opportunity to apply class material to the design of a physical structure, obtain hands-on skills in structural modeling, steel fabrication, and bolting and welding procedures. The team represents Tennessee Tech at the AISC Steel Bridge Competition, which is held simultaneously with the ASCE symposium event!

Water Professionals
The Water Professionals chapter at Tennessee Tech University is a not-for-profit student
organization for those interested in the water resources/environmental engineering
and sciences fields related to water. The water industry offers a variety of diverse
career options in water resources, water/wastewater treatment, hydrology, dams, flood
plain management, academia, and more. Our chapter aims to provide networking, research,
and knowledge development opportunities in the above-mentioned fields of the water
industry. We also strive to host education and outreach events for the public. Through
this organization, scholarships, internships and career opportunities are shared with
students. This organization is an effective pathway to gain out-of-classroom knowledge
about the various fields of water, while connecting with students and professionals
in the industry.
