Involvement in foreign language clubs gives students many opportunities to use what they're learning in a social setting.

Alpha Mu Gamma (National FL Honor Society)

Alpha Mu Gamma was founded as a national collegiate foreign language honor society in 1931. The Tennessee Tech chapter is Eta Psi. When a Tennessee Tech student is eligible for full membership, he/she will receive formal notification.

Amigos (Spanish Club)

Amigos is a very active student organization with the primary purpose of helping students become more familiar with the Spanish language and the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.

Come join us for fun activities such as: conversation hours, where you can practice your Spanish in a relaxing and friendly environment; service projects, where we can help others understand more about Spanish language and culture; and film viewings, where we watch some of the latest film productions in Spanish from all over the world.

Avant-Garde (French Club)

Whether you're a French major or just like all things French, Avant-Garde welcomes everyone interested in French/Francophone culture and language!

Past activities include: Museum trips to the Frist in Nashville, concerts, Cirque du Soleil, dinners at French restaurants in Nashville, fundraising events, Mardi Gras parties, movie nights, conversation hours and much, much more!

Der Deutsche Klub (German Club)

Each fall, the German Club sponsors Oktoberfest, our main outreach event and fundraiser that draws attendees from the University and Cookeville community. In the spring there is Kaffee und Kuchen, where German students and club members bake a variety of German confections to sell at Tennessee Tech's annual international festival, Window on the World.

Additionally, in the past, club members have also organized a Faschingsparty, a Wandertag, a Curry Wurst Sauce Competition and Easter Egg painting. Come join the fun!
