Zoom is a cloud-based technology that can be used by faculty, staff, and students to interact with others using video, audio and screen sharing capabilities. All you need is an account, a capable device and the internet. On a desktop computer (Mac, Windows or Linux) all you need is an internet connection and a web browser. There are also iOS and Android apps available for mobile devices.

All faculty, staff and student accounts can sign up for Basic account. The Basic account allows a user to host a group meeting for up to 40 minutes and a one-on-one meeting can be unlimited. With this account you can share your desktop and even record the meeting locally.

Faculty and Staff may request a Zoom Pro account. Zoom Pro accounts allow users to host unlimited meetings with unlimited duration with up to 50 participants. Please make sure you have setup a Basic account prior to requesting the Pro account.
