Telecommuting is now an option for approved TTU employees. For the majority of approved TTU employees forwarding of the desk phone to voice mail is preferred with the voice mail periodically being checked from home. Another option is to forward the desk phone to the approved employees cell device.
To forward the desk phone to voice mail:
Access the desk phone and dial #9 6245. User will receive a confirmation tone. To access voice mail from off campus dial 372-6245. When the system answers press # and follow the prompts.
To Cancel forwarding:
Access the desk phone and dial *#9. User will receive a confirmation tone.
To forward to your cell phone:
Access the desk phone and dial #9 9 + your cell phone number. User will receive confirmation tone.
We offer telephone, voicemail, and television services to the Residential Halls and Faculty/Staff at Tennessee Technological University.
When submitting a work order request to the Telecommunications Office for a telephone station move, change, or new installation please submit the request a minimum of 7 to 10 business days prior to the services being needed.
All work requests and service issues will be entered into the WebTMA system utilized by the campus community.
As a reminder, all requests for new installations or changes that incur cost(s) to the originating department will still require the appropriate authorization be provided. After initiating a work request in WebTMA, users can attach a memo with approval signatures or attach a copy of the Work Request Form (Telephone Services Service Request Form) available by clicking the link below.
