Student Information Changes

Changing and Updating Your Student Information 

You can view your student information by using Eagle Online. After logging in, you can update your Information Authorization Release, change your login pin, view/update your addresses, phones, and emergency contacts, any holds you might have, your grades for a specific term, your unofficial institutional academic transcript. Please remember that if you want an official copy of your transcript to be sent, you must submit a request online, or complete the paper Transcript Request form. You may also change your name and your permanent address as needed. Instructions and links to the appropriate forms are below! 


To Update Your Information Authorization Release (Eagle Online)
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Personal Information.
  2. Click Student Information Release Authorization.
  3. Make the appropriate check mark selections and list the name and relationship of whom you are authorizing for your information (if you choose to do so). 

If you decide at a later time to update this information, you will follow the steps above and it will replace any former authorizations you made. 


To Change Your Login Pin
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Personal Information.
  2. Click Change Your PIN and follow the prompts.

You can also change your security questions if need be, by making the Change Security Questions option after selecting the Personal Information link upon login. For additional assistance with login pins, or to have yours reset if you are locked out of your account, please contact the Help Desk.


To View/Change Your Addresses
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Personal Information. 
  2. Click View Addresses and Phones. 
  3. Review the information.
  4. If needing to update any addresses/phones, click the Update Addresses and Phones link (in blue at the bottom center of the page and follow the prompts).

*Please be aware that to change your permanent address, you'll need to complete a Change of Address form. More information on that process is below.


 

To View/Update Your Emergency Contacts
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Personal Information.
  2. Click View Emergency Contacts and review.
  3. To update, click the Update Emergency Contacts link that is in blue at bottom center of the page.

 

To View Your Holds
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Student.
  2. Click Student Account.
  3. Click View Holds.

To View Your Grades
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Student.
  2. Click Student Records.
  3. Click Final Grades.

*Please check for final grades the Wednesday after finals. If you have a grade change on a course, this link will only show the original grade. To view the updated grade, you will need to view your unofficial academic transcript in Eagle Online.


 

To View Your Unofficial Academic Transcript
You will begin by logging into Eagle Online, then:

  1. Click Student.
  2. Click Student Records. 
  3. Click Academic Transcript.

This transcript is for your use only. For an official transcript, please visit www.tntech.edu/records/transcripts.php


 

To Change Your Name (Form Only, Not Available in Eagle Online)
You will need to supply the Registrar's Office with the name change request form and the following:

1. A copy of your Marriage Certificate, Divorce Decree, or Court Order showing that your name has been legally changed;

  AND

2 . A copy of your social security card with your new name.


To Change Your Social Security Number (Form Only, Not Available in Eagle Online)
You will need to supply the Registrar's Office with your social security card along with the social security number change form.


To Change Your Address (Form Only, Not Available in Eagle Online)
You can change your address via Eagle Online, with the exception of your Permanent Address.  To change your Permanent Address, you can stop by the Registrar's Office, Jere Whitson, Room 221, and fill out a form, or, you can print the Change of Address form and either bring it to the Registrar's Office or mail it to Box 5026.
