Addiction and Recovery Awareness at TN Tech

Tennessee Department of Metal Health

Are you or someone you care about at risk for accidental Opioid/Opiate overdose?

Project - TN: Save A Life Accidental Opioid Overdose has been declared a National Health Emergency! Are you or someone you care about at risk for accidental Opioid/Opiate overdose? Anyone can be at risk for accidental overdose if they take prescribed opioid medication for a medical condition or use illicit drugs. We can help you understand the risk, how to lower that risk, and how to respond to an accidental opioid overdose. The new student organization, Addiction and Recovery Awareness at TN Tech, will be hosting a training designed for people at risk, their families, and any community members interested in helping save lives. All attendees will receive Opioid Overdose Reversal training and an Opioid Overdose Reversal kit that contains the potential life-saving nasal spray naloxone. There is no cost to the participant, and trainings will be held regularly. For more information please contact Dr. Lachelle Norris.
