Biology
Wildlife and Fisheries Science
The Biology Department also offers a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. In addition to a strong basis in Biology, students pursuing a Wildlife and Fisheries degree study animal populations such as fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals, as well as the ecological principles essential to maintaining and conserving those populations.
Undergraduate students can choose among three concentrations: Conservation Biology, Fisheries Science, or Wildlife Science. Conservation Biology focuses on the conservation of animal populations and natural resources; Fisheries Science emphasizes the study of maintaining, harvesting, and preserving fish populations; and Wildlife Science allows students to focus on the management and conservation of wild animal populations.
