The College of Education, working in collaboration with regional organizations, public schools, community groups, and the university, provides a range of outreach and engaging programs.
Diversity Partnership
P-16 Diversity Partnership is conducted by the College of Education collaborating with Putnam Co. Schools, IMPACT,
Tech’s College of Business and Office of Multicultural Affairs, TN Chapter of the National
Assoc. for Multicultural Education, and the Cookeville-Putnam Co. Chamber of Commerce
promotes diversity events, mentorship, and workshops.
Elinor Ross CDF Freedom School
The Elinor Ross CDF Freedom School is part of the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School initiative. The program is
a free, six-week literacy and cultural enrichment program for K-4 students.
Children engage in lots of exciting activities centered on reading/literacy, enrichment
programs, field trips, and family experiences.
BRIDGES Since 2016, the BRIDGES Early Intervention Resource Agency has helped support families,
caregivers, and children with special needs from birth to age three.
The agency works with the Tennessee Early Intervention System, a division of the Tennessee
Dept. of Education, serving counties in the Upper Cumberland. How can we help you?
