Under the Sun
Under the Sun began at Tennessee Tech University in 1996 as an annual, print-only creative nonfiction literary journal. Now an independent organization, the journal's first online issue debuted in 2013 and it was incorporated in 2019. Under the Sun is one of the few literary magazines that focuses solely on creative nonfiction and is notable for the feedback it provides to writers during the submission process.
Tennessee Tech English students regularly serve as editorial readers, either by registering for a credited internship supervised by creative writing faculty or on a purely volunteer basis.
