Faculty Handbook

The Faculty Handbook is a guide to resources, services, procedures, and policies related to faculty and the University. The Handbook does not constitute a contract between the faculty member and the University. Applicable federal and state law, University policies, and departmental policies define the obligations of the faculty. The Faculty Senate is the steward of the Handbook; the Faculty Senate approves major changes to the Handbook, subject to verification by the Provost for Academic Affairs and University Counsel of compliance with applicable federal and state laws, and Tennessee Tech policies. When University policies and procedures change, such changes become effective at the time of adoption even if not yet published in the Faculty Handbook. The Handbook is updated at least annually and more frequently as needed due to policy changes.
