Course Design Consultations
Our design services specialize in course and program development for all modalities, with a focus on improving the online elements of your classroom by implementing research-based development, design, and engagement strategies. This service is offered at no additional cost to academic departments/faculty. The costs of non-academic or grant-funded instructional development projects are estimated based on a set rate for design and development.
Services offered include:
Student Engagement - keeping students engaged in your course content can be difficult. Our team of instructional designers is here to assist you in figuring out which tools, technology, and best practices will be the most beneficial for keeping students engaged in your course.
Syllabus Design - The course syllabus acts as a road map for your course and sets the tone for expectations and engagement. It is important to ensure your course syllabus contains all the necessary information and resources for students in a design and layout that are both accessible and engaging. Using the Tennessee Tech Syllabus Template and Overview Guide, our Instructional Designers help with creating and adjusting your course syllabus.
Course Design - Our course design consultations provide an opportunity for faculty to meet with one of our Instructional Designers to look at an element of a course, the course, transitioning a course from on-campus to online, incorporating online elements, and more. Course design consultations can be scheduled for any number of topics and questions related to how you want to improve your course.
Grant Consultations - Schedule an appointment to meet with a member of our team to discuss how your course
design or course elements can be used in pursuit of a grant or incorporated in a grant
